Tuition Support
Great parents deserve great support.
Child care costs can be one of the biggest monthly bills for families. Tuition support lowers what you pay. You may qualify for help even if you are not sure where to start. A Family Navigator can help you understand your options and take the next step.
Thrive By 5 Family Access Scholarships
Thrive’s Family Access Scholarships pilot* program helps eligible families cover some or all of the tuition for early childhood education. In 2026, scholarships can support up to 225 children, and a full scholarship can cover up to 100% of the cost of a year of child care at participating programs. A partial scholarship reduces the family portion to $3,250 or $6,500.
Kentucky Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
CCAP is a program that helps eligible families pay for child care while they work, go to school, or attend job training. CCAP helps lower your child care bill depending on your household size and income. Most families still pay a copay or the difference if a program costs more than the CCAP rate.
CCAP for Early Childhood Educators
If you work in a licensed or certified child care program, you may be able to pay for child care through the Child Care Employee Income Exclusion. To receive this benefit, you must apply for CCAP and meet the program requirements.
